The LamsonSharp cleaver blade is made of high-carbon stainless steel and honed by hand so that it can sever most bones without shattering them. The full tang--which means the blade extends all the way through the handle--adds heft and balance to the cleaver. Although rosewood handles are dishwasher-safe, it is best to hand wash fine cutlery like this in warm, soapy water.
